Working with artists is one of the best parts of our job and we have been creating wonderful greeting cards with their beautiful work for many years. In fact, some of our artists have been with us since the beginning! We value their contributions to our success, and we delight in the relationships we have with each and every one!

SPECS:

Full color inside greeting designs are a major plus!
Labeling your files with your name is super helpful while we’re sorting through submissions.
DESIGN GUIDELINES:
Examples of things we love: clever takes on classic concepts, lighthearted humor, inspiring quotes or mantras.
We’re less excited by: cliches, abstractions, obvious answers, etc.
We look for designs that are dynamic and graphically strong. Flat, monochromatic designs don’t stand out on shelf as much. Images need to be a quick read. We think of our cards like billboards that should draw people in right away and stand out from all of the other cards on the rack.
We lean toward vibrant/bold/multi-color/high-contrast palettes and art that has some dimension or layering, humor, playful lettering, etc.
It’s good practice to include visual interest on the top third of a card while imagining how it sits on the store shelf.
It also really helps a card design when the type is well integrated with the image - stylistically, through illustration and or placement of appropriate fonts, colors used etc. It is important to consider the placement of the type and how you break lines, what words you make larger or smaller and how the type flows within the illustration and in the reader’s eye.
OCCASIONS:
Birthday (lots of Bdays), Blank, Thank You, Thinking of You, Encouragement, Get Well, Sympathy, Just for Fun, Friendship, Congrats, Wedding/Love, New Baby, Anniversary, New Home, Engagement, Retirement,
Easter, Good Luck, Hello Spring, Val’s Day, Mom’s/Dad’s Day, Graduation, Fall Seasonal, Christmas & Hanukkah
THANK YOU!
Please be aware that we receive work from thousands of artists and we are a small, and BUSY company. We sincerely apologize that we can not contact each and every one of you directly!
Looking forward :)
